Tom and Lesley Paine are teaching “Faith Seeking Understanding,” borrowing the title from the text by Dan Migliore and a concept by St. Anselm. They are using Migliore’s text as a guide for the class. If interested, you can find it from Amazon.com or BN.com, but you don’t have to buy the text to enjoy the class. If the class is a success, and there is interest in it, we will offer some more advanced theology classes in the fall. Come, let us seek together.

Our next monthly luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at 11:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. During lunch, Deputy Robin Calvert of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office will make a presentation on safety and crime prevention. Robin is the son of Parkway member Claudia Calvert and grandson of Ann and Charles; he grew up coming to Parkway Church and now serves the citizens of Jefferson Parish.   We begin the buffet at 11:30 a.m. with set-up at 10:30 a.m. Bring your favorite vegetable, salad, entrée, or dessert.  Contact Tom Smith for more info.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) - July 16-20, from 9:00 a.m.-noon.
We will need adults and youth to lead and assist with the kids. We will need storytellers, musicians, craft leadership, and kid organizers. Lesley Paine is leading this year’s VBS. All children are welcomed.

Parkway’s Prayer Group is taking it on the road. We will continue to lift up the prayer concerns of the congregation each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the library. And we will continue to email the prayer list to anyone who requests to be on the list. But now, we will be sharing our monthly prayer service with our brothers and sisters at Westminster Towers on Wednesday, April 18th at 10:30 a.m. See Lesley Paine for information. Please join us.
