2007-2008 Christian Education Parkway starts the 2007-2008 Christian education year with a kick-off breakfast on Sunday, September 9. http://www.parkwaypresbyterianchurch.org/education/fall2007.htm Pastor's Message As we move into the fall and begin thinking about nominating individuals to serve in various capacities in the life of a local congregation - at Parkway, that task is specifically to locate elders to serve on the Session - this is a good time to talk about the third of the 5 developmental tasks for interim ministry. That task is to look at Shifts of Power/Leadership Changes. Some people may see this and think, "Oh, they want to push me out of my job!" But that, of course, is not the case. This is a time for discernment for all members of the congregation. Some people may have held leadership positions for many, many years, and are feeling God inviting them to look at other ways to serve. Others, perhaps newer members of the congregation, are now in a position to offer service in the roles that others are leaving. http://www.parkwaypresbyterianchurch.org/pastor/pastor.htm Senior High Mystery Tour The senior high youth will be joining youth from other churches throughout the Presbytery for a mystery trip.
