TED Talks at Summer Sunday School
Sunday Mornings at 9:10 am in the Fellowship Hall
for Adults and Youth
We live in a world where vast horizons are literally at our fingertips. Never before have we been as able to understand and respond to global events, but admittedly it can be overwhelming! A common response is to be distracted by the here and now, but we as Christians are called to do more. One promising way to rise to the challenge is the Lectures on Technology, Entertainment and Design.
Our goal with Parkway TED Talks is to listen to some of these cutting edge lectures on a variety of topics and then consider and discuss what their ideas mean for us as Christians individually and for us as a church collectively. We will project the talks in the Fellowship Hall, and everyone is welcome to join in. Concurrently, we will be showing movies of interest to children in the library. So, there will be something for everyone.
21st Century Sunday School
Check out our Pastor’s message on engaging children in Sunday School. A top priority of every church and every Christian adult should be passing on our faith to our children and teens. Yet in our busy world, Sunday School often drops from the list of activities for our children. Our pastor is seeking your input on how we, at Parkway, can change this. Join our Yahoo Group (21st Century Sunday School) by typing in or following the link below, join the group, and especially join the discussion. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/21stCenturySundaySchool

Weekly Prayer Group
Wednesdays at 10:30 am
Our Prayer Group is open to all who desire to engage in prayer for individuals, our community, our state, our nation, and our world. We meet in the library each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., except on the last Wednesday of the month when we meet in the sanctuary for a prayer service. All prayers offered in worship, submitted to the office, and presented through our members are uplifted and shared with those who gather.
